Perfectamente! Precio/Calidad 10/10.
bullet proof ! i had the 4-bay for 7 years never a issue , this is a upgrade to 5-bay fir more storage , use quality drive and it will work forever use bad drives you'll have a bad experience but the raid enclosure is solid
Does what it says!
It’s a good honest little bit of kit. Would buy Orico again
The advert says that this is usb 3.2 gen2. But on the case and paper instructions it says that it's usb 3.1 gen 2
Compared to other brands and enclosures, this is by far the worst. It will not even reach 10 Gbps speeds on my M4 Max 128 GB Mac Studio connected to the TB5 port on the back. It's definitely not worth 200 Euros. It doesn't come close to, for example, the UGREEN D700 enclosure, whose results I have also posted here in this review.
Was super simple to setup and get going. I filled all 5 bays with segate iron wolf drives, set the jumper pins to raid 5. Plugged it in and turned it on (while holding the set button the first time to initiate it). Then I plugged the USB into my device and it worked instantly. Showed up as a single drive with the correct total capacity. I dumped about 2TB of data onto it in one shot. Wasn't super fast, but ran reliably. The data all copied without any errors.Been running for a week now without any issues. I guess we'll see how long it lasts, but so far I'm very happy with it.
I have both the 95 and the 98. I bought the 95 because of the colour (there is no black 98). I feel that the build quality is a bit better on the 98 (the doors close better, the fan is quieter). Performancewise they are similar.
I wish that I would have tested it on day 1 instead of waiting almost a year... Dead on arrival. My computer (5070 Ti) will not even recognize that itis plugged in. I've spent hours trying with 2 brand new Western Digital Red Plus 10TB drives and multiple other older proven drives and no luck whatsoever. Nothing on reddit or Chatgpt is working. Like I said, should have tested it day 1. My return window is long gone now.Update: Orico reached out to me and informed me that they actually have an 18 month refund or replace policy. Orico has given me a full refund with zero hassle to make things right. Thank you Orico! Would purchase from them again simply because of their honest business practices. They certainly could have just ignored the situation but the did the right thing. Cheers
