nearly perfect Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station

All the ports work as advertised, and I am overall happy with the Orico Thunderbolt 3 docking station. It's a big enough, although smallish, form factor with aluminum housing that keeps things cool unlike many other Thunderbolt/USB docking stations without needing a fan. I have never thought it got hot to the touch like some other thunderbolt 3/4 docking stations I have and have used. It's also much lighter than I expected it to be. Overall construction is excellent. I would like to have seen some sort of rubber/silicone feet and ability to orient flat rather than just upright. You could lay on its side without the stand, but you should put some rubber/silicone feet under it. I'm sure some people may have a need for S/PDIF, but it's really a waste of a port and space. I'd rather have a second LAN port like a 2.5GbE or HDMI port. Last, since this is a newer docking station, I don't understand why it only has SD 2.0/TF UHS-I rather than SD 4.0 and UHS-II.

A nice dock with very good build quality

I almost returned this dock. I actually ordered another more expensive dock (from a more famous brand) to try to replace it. The experience with that dock was terrible. This lowered down my expectation to this kind of devices and I decided to have more patience to this dock and it paid off. One of the main cons for this dock is it uses 65W power to provide 60W PD to laptop. At the same time, it has so many ports and also needs to drive 2x4K monitors. So my initial experience was not great. But things changed after I switched to a retailed version of ORICO Thunderbolt 4 cable which looks almost identical to the bundled one. It became very stable and I've used for 3 weeks without issues. By the way, this dock connects to two 27" Dell monitors, via DP and USB-c ports. I run Windows 10/11 and Linux (Ubuntu and Manjaro) on my ThinkPad X1 Carbon. All work great. I have 2 suggestion to ORICO: - Use 80-100w power - Include a better (and longer) cable
