ORICO 98 Series Multi-Bay External Storage DAS Solution

The encloser is the most coolest external hdd I ever had. Even though my other hdd reader broke. I got something better now. Right on!

My only gripe with the drive bays is that the drives sit in their loosely. There are no rails to keep the drives still. I used a block of styrofoam that came in the box to wedge between the drives to keep them from moving back and forth.

Works great for what it was made for, but has unpleasantly loud fans. The top of it also seems prone to smudging / fingerprint-ing.

Works great. I used you tube videos to remind me how to use diskpart to remove partitions and clean then format for storage, because it's not something that I do very often. The fan is a little loud, but tolerable. The manual is a little helpful. There is an on-off button on the back if the device where the provided power and USB cables exit the unit. Interestingly, the manual seems to say you need to use windows to disconnect the device from the usb port, and of course all loaded hdd's disconnected when the device is ejected, after which the hdd's can be lifted out. This is confusing because the manual and the advertising say its hot swappable. I suppose it will become apparent with use. In any event, this seems like it will be handy.

Overall product works great, but it was almost impossible to take the drive out of sleep mode
