ORICO Air5 Magnetic USB-C SD＆TF Card Reader

This is a very compact, lightweight dual sd card reader. I ordered this in the 4 in 1, aluminum variant. The aluminum matches my mac well. This has a strong magnet on it, which connects firmly to magsafe devices.This includes a short usb-c wire, which makes it compatible with most devices. This makes adding an sd card to a phone very easy. It works well, it is able to transfer large amounts of data quickly. It also can be plugged in and used as a charger, with up to 100 watts pd fast charging.

This is fantastic. It was a great help with saving photos and videos from my phone, and freed up a lot of storage space. The unit works great! It was perfectly compatible with my iPhone, and the magnetic attachment made it very easy to work with. It accepted the SD card with no issues and the transfer speed was really fast. It read the SD card instantly and quickly, and It worked flawlessly. It is super thin and light but I can tell it is very well made. This is a must have to save important media from your phone. Love it!

This magnetic SD card reader is a clever solution for anyone needing extra storage on the go. Since I already have a magnetic ring case on my Samsung S24 Plus, it was incredibly simple to just snap the reader onto the back of my phone and start using it immediately. Even if you don't have a magnetic case, they include a stick-on ring in the box so you can still use the "snap-on" feature.The dual-slot design for SD and TF cards is perfect for backing up photos or moving files from my other gear. I’ve found it very reliable for creating extra space on my phone without having to delete anything. The 100W PD pass-through is a huge bonus, as it lets me charge my phone at full speed while I’m transferring large files. If you need a portable, secure way to manage your data or just need a storage boost, I highly recommend this!

This is a decent SD card reader/writer with USB-PD passthrough.It is extremely easy to use; you just connect the USB-C cable to your phone/tablet/computer, and put in the SD and/or microSD card(s) you want to read. You can then connect a USB-C PD charger to the port on the side to allow you to charge your device at the same time.The USB-PD charging works exactly as advertised. When I connect it to a 100w charger, it advertises 90w of power to the host device.In speed testing, I'm seeing 90 MB/s reads and 60 MB/s writes. The slower write speed is likely just a reflection of my SD cards, not of this reader. I see the same speeds regardless of whether I'm using the microSD slot of the full-sided SD card slot. Using both slots simultaneously, I see a little over half the speed for both of them, it would be nice if they could both be used at full-speed at the same time (as USB 3.0 many times the bandwidth to allow that).In addition to the basic reader functionality, there is also the convenience of the built in magnets; which will keep this firmly attached to the back of your iPhone (or other device with a compatible magnetic mount). In my case it works quite well with both my iPhone and my iPad mini.

The only thing iPhone-specific about this card reader is its magnet that sticks the reader to any Apple MagSafe phone. If you don't have one of those, a stick-on metal ring is provided that you can attach to whatever you want. The back of the reader has a soft rubber backing, so it won't scratch your phone. In the photo I attached, showing the reader on the back of an iPhone 16 Pro, you can see that the top edge of the reader comes right up to the camera lenses. This doesn't interfere with use, but could make it tricky to insert or remove a card.A short, flat USB-C cable is provided that will plug into the bottom of the phone, or whatever else you want as in all other regards it's just another SD/MicroSD card reader. If you have photos on the card, the Apple Photos app will make them available for import; for other things you can use the Files app, where the reader shows as another source.The reader also has a USB-C power input jack on the side, with a small LED indicating power. This can pass through up to 100W to the connected device.
